Case Study Overview
Windows and Doors Industry
Key Results
The original website was an early-stage template-based site with image-focused product displays, lacking critical decision-making content such as profile cross-section diagrams, performance test reports, and installation detail drawings. During the independent website upgrade, the product system was reorganized, and a technical specifications center along with a global project case study library were established. The entire project took 3.5 months to complete. Specific results are as follows:
Website Performance: Lighthouse score increased from an average of 95 after the upgrade (achieved through static site generation + global CDN acceleration, significantly improving international access experience).
Website Traffic: Average monthly visits were under 200 before the upgrade. After the upgrade, through technical content + project case study operations, organic traffic increased by 450% within seven months, with overseas traffic accounting for 72% (Australia 28%, USA 22%, Europe 15%, Middle East 7%).
Website Inquiries: The first B2B inquiry was received in the 3rd month after launch (from a construction contractor in Melbourne, Australia). Inquiries then continued to climb, stabilizing at over 45 per month from the 11th month onward, with an inquiry conversion rate 320% higher than before the upgrade.
Website Orders: In the 8th month, a villa project order worth $85,000 (approximately RMB 610,000) in Sydney was secured. In the 12th month, an annual framework agreement was signed with a Middle Eastern real estate developer (initial order $150,000, approximately RMB 1.08 million). By the 13th month, a bulk order from a high-end residential development in California was completed, valued at $220,000 (approximately RMB 1.58 million).
Project Background
The client’s original website was built in 2017 using a generic template. Product displays were primarily basic images with simple parameters, lacking critical decision-making content such as profile cross-section diagrams, thermal insulation performance data, hardware system configuration explanations, installation detail drawings, and real-world project case studies. For years, business relied mainly on Alibaba International Station, offline exhibitions, and repeat customers, with the website generating virtually no effective sales leads.
With the global improvement in building energy efficiency standards and explosive growth in demand for system windows and doors in high-end residential markets (particularly the demand for high-performance windows and doors in Australia, the United States, and Europe), the client sought to establish a professional brand image through their website and expand overseas direct client and contractor channels. However, lacking experience in digital content operations, they were initially skeptical about the website’s customer acquisition capabilities, believing that only platform traffic or exhibitions could generate leads.
After in-depth communication, we recognized their differentiated advantages in core technologies—such as aerospace-grade aluminum profiles, Technoform thermal break strips, optional German hardware imports, and triple-seal structural design—along with high production automation and annual capacity reaching 200,000 square meters. However, they lacked an effective technical presentation system and case study validation. Therefore, we decided to abandon the old template site and rebuild it as a technology-driven, case-supported professional independent website.
Our Approach
Conducted in-depth analysis of windows and doors market trends in Europe, America, Australia, and the Middle East: Researched technical access requirements across different markets including Australian AS/NZS standards, American AAMA certification, and European CE certification, analyzing the website architectures and technical content strategies of 15 international competitors and industry leaders.
Leveraged Google Ads Keyword Planner and construction industry forum trending terms: Identified core keywords such as “system windows and doors,” “thermal break aluminum windows,” “passive house windows,” “aluminum window and door manufacturers,” and “energy efficient windows,” developing layered keyword strategies for different markets.
Established a technical specifications and certifications center: Provided detailed professional parameters including profile specifications (6063-T5 aerospace-grade aluminum), glass configurations (double/triple Low-E insulated glass), thermal break strip material (PA66 nylon 25mm), hardware systems (ROTO/SIEGENIA/HOPPE), wind load resistance (Grade 9), water tightness (Grade 6), and air tightness (Grade 8), along with export certifications (CE, AS/NZS, SGS) to meet the selection needs of contractors and high-end clients.
Created scenario-based solution modules: For different application scenarios including villas, high-end apartments, commercial complexes, and hotels, provided depth content such as recommended product combinations, installation detail drawings, 3D configurators, and real-world case studies.
Built a global project case study library: Featured projects including Sydney villas, California high-end residential developments, Middle Eastern hotel projects, and domestic benchmark projects, each providing project background, product series used, technical specifications, real photos, and client testimonials to strengthen trust signals.
Designed a product comparison tool: Helped clients quickly compare differences between products based on profile series, glass configuration, hardware grade, and thermal performance, shortening the decision-making path.
Guided the client on regular updates: New product launches, technology upgrades, project case studies, installation tutorials, and factory tours, while using data monitoring tools for continuous conversion path optimization.
