Case Study Overview

Key Results

The original website was built with an early-stage template, featuring disorganized product categorization and missing technical specifications, failing to meet the selection needs of professional procurement specialists. During the independent website upgrade, the product system was reorganized, and standardized specification templates and a guided selection system were established. The entire project took 2.5 months to complete. Specific results are as follows:

Website Performance: Lighthouse score increased from an average of 94 after the upgrade (achieved through static site generation + intelligent caching technology, significantly improving page load speed).

Website Traffic: Average monthly visits were under 200 before the upgrade. After the upgrade, through product specification page optimization and technical blog operations, organic traffic increased by 400% within six months, with overseas traffic accounting for 65%.

Website Inquiries: The first bulk inquiry was received in the 3rd month after launch. Inquiries then continued to climb, stabilizing at over 40 per month from the 10th month onward.

Website Orders: In the 8th month, a customized wiring harness order worth $50,000 (approximately RMB 360,000) was secured. By the 11th month, an annual supply agreement was signed with a European industrial equipment manufacturer, with an estimated annual procurement value exceeding $300,000.

Project Background

The client’s original website was built in 2016 using a generic template. Product displays were primarily image-based, lacking critical decision-making information such as specifications, certifications, and application cases. For years, business relied mainly on exhibitions and repeat customers, with the website generating virtually no effective sales leads.

As competition intensified in the electronic components industry, particularly price pressure from Southeast Asian suppliers, the client sought to establish a professional image through their website and expand direct overseas customer channels. However, lacking experience in digital operations, they were initially skeptical about the website’s customer acquisition capabilities, believing that only B2B platforms or exhibitions could generate leads.

After in-depth communication, we recognized their diverse product lines and comprehensive certifications as differentiated competitive advantages, but they lacked effective online presentation and guidance systems. Therefore, we decided to abandon the old template site and rebuild it as a product-centric, specification-driven professional independent website.

Our Approach

Conducted in-depth analysis of electronic components procurement habits in European, American, and Southeast Asian markets, researching the website structures and functional designs of 8 international competitors and industry leaders.

Leveraged Google Ads Keyword Planner to identify high-value long-tail keywords such as “connectors,” “wiring harnesses,” “terminals,” and “custom electronic components,” developing a layered keyword strategy.

Established standardized product specification templates, providing detailed specifications, certification information, 3D drawing downloads, and application cases for each product series as in-depth content.

Designed an intelligent guided selection system to help procurement specialists quickly filter suitable products based on application scenarios and technical parameters.

Guided the client on regularly updating new product information and industry application cases, while using data monitoring tools for continuous conversion path optimization.

Client Testimonial

Customers used to say our website looked like it belonged to a small workshop. Now it finally has the feel of an established manufacturer. What surprised me most is how targeted the inquiries are. Many customers come directly with BOMs for quotes, which significantly reduces our communication costs and gives us a higher conversion rate than exhibitions.
